I'm doing something! My latest project is a Kickstarter Campaign to sculpt some awesome Dwarven miniatures. Check it out and tell all your friends. All of them.

DOUBLE-TAKE!

I've got 3 designs up for voting in the double-take derby this week at Woot! All of them did pretty well the first time around so I have high hopes.

For the End of the World theme this week! Vote if you can!

Friday, July 23, 2010

I've been on some sort of epic battle kick lately. I like it. Vote in this week's derby!

Goldy's Return

Ten year's after that tragic day, Goldy returns to once again wreak havoc upon the bears. But this time the stakes are raised! Up for voting at Shirt.Woot.com/derby.

Saturday, June 19, 2010

De-evolution is the theme of this week's derby. I created this design of someone who has allowed themselves to become completely reliant upon machines for life. The Band Devo is involved in the derby this week so that's what the logo is doing in there. They are the creators of the song "Whip It."

Friday, June 4, 2010

"Buzz Aldrin" and "Neil Armstrong" always seemed like the names of sports stars to me. This week's Shirt.Woot Derby was my chance to make my confusion a reality.

Thanks everyone who voted for my They Might Be Giants Shirt: A Distinct Possibility!
It will be on sale over at Shirt.Woot for at least a week! Maybe more.

This week I have another shirt up for voting in the derby. It caters to the theme of madness and once again seeks to combine my love of pretending to know anything about literature and my natural-born desire to draw heavily armored fantasy creatures.

This week's derby entry, inspired by the band They Might Be Giants and Don Quixote...which it turns out was, in fact, the inspiration for the film that inspired the name of the band. It is doing really well so if you get a chance to vote on it please do.

This week's Derby theme is Chinese Zodiac!

Friday, January 1, 2010

This week's Shirt.woot.com Derby theme is the letter "V." I went for the obvious and did Vampiric Vikings. They seem nice.

This week's derby entry. Thanks everyone for the votes last week!

Saturday, December 5, 2009

I did another entry for the derby this week. I think my anger at Ewan McGregor transferred onto Mr. McGregor.

This week's derby entry.

Holy Recompression Batman!

This weeks derby theme is "School." Widowfrog and I had a lot of fun coming up with the ideas behind the lunchbox one. Hope you all enjoy!

This Design is up for voting again in the Double-Take Derby! Also the Platypus one, the Sky City one, the Steam-Biker one, and the Rain Dancer. Please drop by the Shirt.Woot Derby and vote for them all if you can. Thanks Everyone!

Friday, July 24, 2009

The Theme for the derby this week is "2." I wanted to do one that focused on the significance of 2 when there once was 3.

Yay! We are now almost settled in Chicago. My design over at Shirt.Woot is doing well this week so if you can vote and get a chance to before tomorrow... Thanks for all of the support everyone!

Friday, June 12, 2009

My entry for the Shirt.Woot derby this week. I've been up all night getting it done....which usually means it will wind up in about 30th place :) My judgement of what other people will like dies at around 10:00 pm. Thanks again to all of you for all of your support on last week's derby, we will find out on Sunday if it won!

The third(?) classic blunder. You may be overthinking.

It's good to know when to stop.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Something horrible has happened. My "See no Evil" design got rejected. Even the destroyer of worlds mourns their loss.

These overly adorable pandas are my entry over at Shirt.Woot's Derby this week. I think I'm in first place as of this morning. Thank you everyone for your votes so far!

Friday, May 22, 2009

This week the derby theme is dance. I decided to do some sort of ceremonial dancer crow-head. I didn't want to do something specific to any historical group, but rather something that might spring up in a post-apocalyptic tribal culture.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

My entry over at the Shirt.woot derby this week. The theme this week is pointalism and while I realize its not Seurat (I am not great with mixing colors so I stuck with a pretty limited palette) I feel like the concept came across really well.

My design for this weeks derby. I'll probably put in the dissected frog one as well. I haven't submitted that one anywhere yet.

Friday, March 27, 2009

This week's Shirt.Woot Derby theme is Music. These are my entries. for the violin one I used a picture of Kaylee as a reference.

Friday, February 13, 2009

My other individualism design. Its about how great it is to be an artist and not have a normal job. That's why the circle-headed guy looks so afraid.

Thursday, February 12, 2009

The old ways are best! This week's derby is about individualism. This young generic bear wearing a hood has found a new-fangled weapon, no doubt dropped by a generic white-suited clone soldier. His elders do not approve.

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Something from the sketchbook that turned out really nicely I thought. Kind of an Asian town-thingy that is on poles in the middle of a lake.

Friday, February 6, 2009

Here's the "cute" design for this week's derby. (Drop by there and vote if you can.)Usually I try and throw a crowd-pleasing one together. They usually do better than the designs I've worked on for days. Maybe I'm trying too hard? Or maybe not hard enough. I think that I can do simple designs really well and complex designs only pretty good. I feel like I've been making some headway lately though.

It Will Learn To Fly Again

This design, as well as my other heart designs, will be up for voting tomorrow in Shirt.Woot's weekly derby. I love the "tatoo" styled art look. This is my "stab" at something a little more in that "vein." I've been reading the woot descriptions too much:)

Also, my Winterbirds shirt will be on sale at Teefury tomorrow only! Thanks Everyone!

I drew this very angry-looking business-suited fellow today. Ironing suits is actually pretty tough. I can't decide if I want the design to say "So you want to stick it to the man, huh? Bring it on." or something about how its a bad time to be a republican or a mortgage company.(Yes its on a woot template. No, its not available there or anywhere else, I just wanted to see what it would look like on a shirt.)

I'm trying to figure out how I can put my love of imaginary machine shops into a t-shirt design. Here are some sketches I've done of them, But I can't seem to envision the enclosed space on something as open as clothing. Maybe I need to think of it in terms of an "all over" sort of feel.

Never stop believing in your imaginary friends, not even for a second, or they will die. Then you will wish and wish but they will never come back. Ever.

I made some different color options for this one, I can't seem to get the colors to be what I want them to be.

Another heartbreak design. Scooters are awesome!

Saturday, January 31, 2009

I made this for the shirt.woot derby next week. The theme is heartbreak. I drew these little guys coming out of the heart to take a break and play some ultimate frisbee. It ended up not getting the point across and also looking much too hairy, probably not going to work for the derby. I still thought I would show it to you guys.

I have 4 shirts in the Double-take derby this week that anyone with a woot account that has purchased something can vote for. It doesn't look like any of them are going to win, but that means that I will soon no longer be breaking the terms and conditions to which I agreed by printing them somewhere else, which I will think about as soon as I get my act together.
